Truffle Growing (or not) in the Yadkin Valley

Today I made the commitment.  OK.  It's weekly posts to the Truffle Growing Blog.  I'll share our experience over the last 11 years (and before) about our farm from it's dream state to today.  If you want to know what it's really been like to have a truffle farm, you'll find the story here.

It will be in chapters and I'll be telling the whole story - none of this smoke and mirrors  stuff.  Truffle growing is not for the weak - either in body, mind or spirit.  You've got to be a pioneering farmer type.  Are you one of those?

Stay tuned.

  1. I very much look forward to hearing the series and kudos to you for making it a success. I see you've got Jeanine Davis in your followers---be careful-she's got a mobile chicken coop that travels around her yard--and she talks to her animals like they are people ;)

  2. We treat our animals like people, too. You've got to respect anything that can hunt truffles with its nose. The border collie is smarter than I am but he never treats me in a condescending way. He sits on the couch with me in the mornings.
